Japan environment are serious situation in all area from air pollution , water pollution , soil contaminate , noise level and nations’ forests . They realize these problems and try to recover the situation by several ways such as :
1. Issue laws to control the pollution
- Air : Air Pollution Control Law of 1968
- Water : Water Pollution Control Law of 1971
- Noise : Factory noise levels under a 1968 law
2. Polluter pay principle was issued in 1987.
3. Issue Law to Conservation Forest in 1972.
4. Reforest for large area.
5. For whale they accept the 1982 resolution of the IWC calling for a phase-out of commercial whaling by 1986/87.
After that the serious situation were declined but there still widespread pollution of lakes and rivers from household sources, especially by untreated sewage and phosphate-rich detergents . Result from these problems are effect in Japan's mammal species , bird species, plants are endangered and some animals have become extinct.
In my opinion, I think the government solves the problems by not focus on the real point. They should campaign people to realize in this serious problem and tell them about the way to improve this crisis. For instant, people have to change their daily life and turn to care the environment much more. I believe in human power, and if we work together, we will pass these obstacles for sure.
