Electricity from Seaweed!

Do you believe that seaweed can be used for electricity? Many people think that seaweed is normally to eat only, but the seaweed that washes up on the shore was discovered by Japanese researchers! I was very surprised when I read this news.

Moreover, using it could help global warming and reduce oil resources. This process was in Yokohama. Researchers used microorganism to damage semi-liquid material. Methane gas is cause of this process can be fuel

for gas engine and electricity. Consequently, the test of 1 ton of seaweed, this gas can keep 20 kiloliters of methane gas. In addition, mixing of natural gas and methane gas have more efficiency. Because it can convert into 10 kilowatts of electricity per hour. Now, production rates is enough for 20 household and this energy is used to power lighting, factory, and so on. Tokyo Gas Co. have objective to complete research by March 2007, and this system can use in commercial.

In my opinion, if this research can go to the target that they hoped. It will revolutionize the history of oil and electricity, and also have many benefits for mankind. Nowadays, oil is very necessary in daily life, all of us knew that the prize of this resources is so expensive. Furthermore, we have to use oil and we can't avoid from this. On the other hand, the main causes of global warming is Co2 which mostly became from using car. In addition, if we have a low cost of electricity, it will help you about the bills of electric. Generally, we use electric which is converted by embankment. Besides, the embankment was built by destroy many forest, habitat of human and animal. I think this new energy will reduce this problem. Now, we have another energy, and you don't have to worried about it. It is safety and produce from natural resources, so it is not affect to the environment and also quite cheap.

2 Japanese films nominated for Venice film Festival's Golden Lion

Two Japanese movies have been nominated for the 67th Venice Film Festival’s Golden Lion award, organizers of the festival beginning Sept. 1 said Thursday.

One is “Norwegian Wood” directed by Vietnamese-born French director Tran Anh Hung, based on Japanese novelist Haruki Murakami’s bestseller of the same title. The other is “Ju-san nin no shikaku” (13 Assassins) directed by Japanese director Takashi Miike.

I think a movie industry in Asia has a very enormous development. I am the one who want to learn about film, so I feel excited to know this news. In my opinion, these two movies have a different style. Norwegian Wood is the romantic movie that has many beautiful scenes. I think the director want to show us a wonderful scenes and a impressive story in a same time. 13 Assassins is a former times movie. You can see that the movie show you many culture of Japan such as, hairstyle, clothes and daily life. I think it is a great movie that everyone should see.

Have you ever seen a movie name The Inception before? I think it was really a good movie that I have watched in a present year. I was very impressed after I had finished watching it. There was a famous Japanese star rolling in this movie that was playing very outstanding. I fell in love with his acting so much.

According to the news , there is an interview to Ken Watanabe, who is a Japanese actor and played in Saito in The Inception. He has been playing many movies, such as The Last Samurai, Letters from Two Jima, Batman Begins and this one, The Inception. In the interview, he talked about a plot of this movie and his different and various roles in his scenes. Watanabe said about the same director whom he had played with before that he was very imaginative and ambitious. For instance, he went to six countries to create his new whole scenes for only one movie. Watanabe said that this movie was the first movie that was contemporary beside a kind of samurai or army movie that he used to play, so he had to try harder to improve English language. The last thing that he talked about was the most impressive scene. It was the last shot in Limbo. It was hard to play that he had to wait for somebody to release him out of the dream. It was fascinating for him.

In my opinion, this movie was incredible and very complex. I had a chance to watch for 2 times. When I first saw in the beginning of the movie, I was very confused. I had to keep asking my brother what it meant. I was impressed both of actors and actress. As the result, Ken Watanabe was one of them. He was playing in an important character, and he played in his role very well. I have never seen him in any other movies before, but when I saw him in this film, he was a really good actor. He played very touch. It was amazing that he was one of the Japanese actors that could play in the famous Hollywood movie like this. There is not many Japanese people can be a actor in the Hollywood. Moreover, he had an opportunity to play with one of the most famous and handsome actor likes Leonardo DiCaprio. He was very lucky.

Five kill in Japan rescue copter crash

According to UPI and The Japan Times, Chichibu, Japan, July 25, Five people were killed when helicopter crashed the mountianside in Japan's Saitama prefecture.

Prior to the accident, two resuce workers, who had been on the copter, had been lower to the ground to help 55 yearsold women climber who had fallen into a waterfall.
The five other people who died were pilot, copilot, perfectural aviation safety workers, and two rescue worker from a local fire department.
According to Honda Airways, The pilot having worked for the company for mare than 20 years. Also, there was no rain or wind in the crash area. The helicopter was in a deep gully.

Shinkansen

According to the news, a new more advance Shinkansen bullet train is almost finished after building for a long time. A government plans to drive a new Shinkansen on the East Japan line at 300 km/hr, which is really fast.
The first new thing that you will obviously see is a color of the train that catches the eyes. There are green, white and pink. Next, the most important thing that it has been a problem is a loud voice from the train during driving. This problem in the new Shinkansen is already solved by engineers. They reduce the voice a lot. The last one is facilities in the train is more comfortable. There are a place for wheelchairs, a bigger bathroom and especially wider seats.
In my opinion, it is such an incredible vehicle for Japanese people that enable them to have more convenient life. First, Shinkansen will save a lot of time. When they want to travel in the upcountry, they can go by Shinkansen, which spend a few minutes. In contrast, without Shinkansen, they have to drive their car to a terminal their want, which is going to spend several hours. Next, traveling by Shinkansen helps the global warming crisis. If they use a public transportation instead of their own cars, CO2 from cars, which cause the global warming crisis, will reduce. Last, a cost of ticket is cheaper than oil payment, so the cost of living also spends less. All of reasons make me feel jealous at Japan. I wish Thailand could have a renovate train like Shinkansen in one day.

Hurdles for young English learners

An english teacher had read Japanese texts for learning English in elemental school. The books are under qualify which contain many errors and weird speaker. The teacher commented that these are pathetic books because they could not help students achieve at all. So the teacher decided to use his own book for teaching students in their class. He felt the government should fix the problem. They must create an instution for training English teachers and rent foreign teacher from all around the world. This might help developing Japanese’s English skill system but the current Assistant Language Teacher are not trained teachers. In his opinion, studing English should begin in early age because chirldren are easier absorbing knowleage from the beginning.
I think that government didn’t care about English skills in Japan so they just didn’t develop it. I think the government need to immediately fix this problem by using high standard text books before teaching to the kids and cooperating with ministry of education about "how to do or fix this problem?". Otherwise, the consequence will make a problem in Japan education. I agree with the teacher about teaching English earlier. As we can see, Japan has more contact with other countries. So it necessary that kids have to study English earlier. English is the base language to contact all the world. If you can use English, you will get more advantage than other people who don't have English skills. Nowadays, English is not enough because now we contact in Asia market. For example, China, Japan, and so on. From my point of view I think Asia language is so important, especially Chinese. Anyway you must good at English before you go to third language.

A victory of Japan

The footbal world cup 2010 had already finished, and Netherland was the champion. Although Japan was not a winner, they was still happy.

After they had trained hard for many years for this football world cup, they could finally pass through the first round. There were only two teams of Asia and five teams of Asia-Pacific that could pass to the first round, and Japan was part of them. The Japanese people consequently was proud of their own beloved team very much.

Moreover, Japan got the ninth place from this competition and lead other well-known country, such as England, Italy and France. Being the 9th place was a great pride for every Japanese person.

Reasons why I choose this news are I am a fan of Japan football team, and I am glad that Japan football team was the one in last 16 teams.
